There are new initiatives taking hold in the graphic arts, such as ISO 14000 and Forest Stewardship Council registration. Whereas more sweeping measures, such as ISO 9001:2000 have come and taken partial hold, the “green” initiatives are gaining ascendancy with consumers and print buyers alike — largely led by the mainstream consumer desire to buy “green-friendly” products.

My advantage:
I bring my extensive process engineering and graphic arts management experience to help ensure a successful FSC implementation. I’ll leverage your in-house expertise to deliver an FSC-compliant system for management that is deeply integrated and owned by your organization.

My FSC experience:
I have directed two FSC projects to successful fruition. The first, in mid-2006, was in coordination with R.R. Donnelley’s effort to make all of their commercial print facilities FSC-registered. I maintain a relationship with their Litho Plant facility in Durham, NC.

My second effort built upon the foundation of my quality, process engineering and FSC-management experience to deliver an FSC registration to Precision Technology, in Concord, NH. I had effectively re-wrote the FSC requirements to align with existing processes so that the entire culture had a better understanding of their role in ensuring a successful integration of FSC at their facility.
